On tuesday morning, 1/15/13, i went in at 530 am to be induced. The dr had to wait until 7 to break my water because there were 2 deliveries from my arrival to then. i was still 2 cm and he had to use a scalp electrode to get it done. around 10 i could feel some contractions, nothing too bad. they started my pitocin. at 11 the dr stopped to see how i was and to check me again. he broke my second bag of waters and my contractions increased...i was 3-4 cm. he told the nurse i could eat something since my blood sugar was 95. i ate my lunch while my friend cringed at the monitor, stating my contractions were showing high numbers 2 minutes apart...i didn't feel them lol. they started my epudural around 1 to see if making me relax would do anything. at 4 the nurse checked me again, i was 6-7 cm and he was -1 station. i told my husband to hurry back lol. at 5 my husband came in, my dr right behind. the dr says he's going to see where i'm at...full dilated and baby is +4! so, with one push my little man came screaming into the world at 510 pm. he was 8# 1 oz, 20 in and apgar scores of 9 both times! little blake has been a big hit with his older brothers and sister. he had his first claim-to-fame photo shot with the seven other babies born tuesday & wednesday (we have a small hospital, so the number of babies was a pretty big deal). the journey seemed so long, but was totally worth it! i also didn't even use about 1/8 of my pitocin, so my body actually did most of the work!

He's pretty awesome, not that the other three weren't lol. But my tubes were cut and tied wednesday morning, so i know he's my last. He may have milk intolerance issues though...and nursing is going so good! I'm on an elimination diet so hopefully we get our answer soon.
