He can't get me a real ring

My fiance bought me a ring for Christmas that I feel in love with. Prior to receiving it, a girl he is friends with says she helped him pick it out and bragged that he had to spend $300 on it. I thought it was a bit outrageous she said he did, because he told me not to spend more than $100 on a band for him since he wasn't spending much on me..I listened and bought a band for $80 off a jewelry site. Within 12 hours of wearing it something seemed off..my finger swelled and started itching really bad so I took the ring off..when I did I saw an ugly green ring around where the ring had sat. I washed and washed and washed my finger but the green wouldn't come off..I took the ring to a jewelrista and she kinda laughed when I told her my fiance said he spent $300 on it because the ring is fake. So I told my fiance about the ring turning my finger green, but not that I had taken it to a jewelrista and was told it was fake. He says he will "fix it or buy me another ring" and honestly I feel like it's just a waste because he is such a liar. I prefer buying my own ring until he can help me buy one..in fact, when I bought up him buying one this pay check he said he couldn't because he had to loan money out to his female friend to pay towards her appliances. I actually saw a post by her earlier tonight making an offer on some birds so I sent SO a text and asked him when she was paying him back and he hasn't replied..I am a little jealous but I don't understand why because he is my fiance and he is spending money on another girl and I don't see why?!?

So she lied for him about how much he spent on it and now he's helping her pay her bills? Umm yeah I'd be pissed and I'd tell him you brought it to a jeweler and you know he's a liar.

Well did he tell you he spent 300 on the ring? Or did she? If he didn't tell you he spent that much then it isn't his fault that she told you that. I wouldn't expect a very high quality ring for 100 or less anyways. I can understand your frustrations about him using his money on another girl before you. Maybe you can talk to him about it when he gets home.

I would tell him off. And my DH would definitely not be spending all of his money on some other girl. Smurf that.

Tell him you caught him in a lie! What a jerk. I can see buying silver or gold plated n telling you about it, but lying about it being better and more $ is bs. As for the other woman.... Nip that crap now. Screw her n her appliances/birds. jeeze puts another chick before you now I can only see it getting worse if its not brought to his attention. My stepbro did similar to a chick- told her the ring was real 1ct diamond n gold. She rubbed it in my face so I said how does a guy w no job buy a 5000+ ring? Tbh I felt bad he lied like that to her though. Starting off that way doesn't give a marriage much hope of lasting.

1) She told you that he told her that he spent 300. Therefore, he may not of said it at all. The game of he said she said, is one big mess. Don't buy into it.

2)If he's "such a liar", why are you marrying him?

Something sounds fishy about him spending his money on another chick.

Honestly even if he only spent likev $50 it still more thab likely wouldn't turn your finger green. If I were you I would ask where he bought it so yall could return it abd get something else if he cant tell you then maybe you should rethink the whole situation. Him giving money to another girl too sounds odd. & lastly if he is such a liar why would you wanna marry him? You sayijg you will buy your own ribg is ridiculous. He should buy you the ring. Otherwise I wouldn't be getting married. If you cant trust him to buy a ring & buy it correctly what cab you trust hin with??

I assumed he bought it at Walmart because he gave me the ring in a box from Walmart..he says he ordered it offline but can't remember where..   I just asked him when Tonya is paying him back and he asked why so I told him I wanted a real ring, not a fake ring. I even told him about the incident at the jeweller..just waiting for a reply now.. ;)
