I'm so lost....

So here's the situation: I have 2 kids from before we got together and so does my bf.....we also have 1 son who is 9 months old....between us we now have 5.....that's a lot of kids....to add to it all, on Monday, I had an epiphany and took a preg test which came out positive....WTF!!!....I feel like an idiot and on one hand I wanna keep this baby ESPECIALLY when I look at the son we share and think to myself "what if I had given up on you?"...then on the other hand, I think "but that's just SOOO many kids!"......I told my bf last night about our predicament and today I went to a dating scan to determine how far along I am....the u/s tech said less than 5 weeks and told me she wants to see me again in 2 weeks to check again....I think I am going a little crazy and I just want to make the RIGHT decision but how do I decide what's right and what's wrong for this particular situation?

C. You all financially handle another child? That would be my deciding factor.... Plus 5 isn't much different from 6, it's a soccer team either way it seems.

If you are financially and emotionally stable to take on another child and to go through another 9 months of pregnancy.

no one can really answer that question for you. Although 6 kids are a lot to handle if you wanted to you could handle it...it is all up to you and your SO...can you financially care for the child or are you just not wanting to keep it for the fact that 6 kids is a lot?

and if it would cause turmoil or issues in your relationship.. or bring you closer. will it make it harder to spend time equally with the children you do have?

I COULD do it financially.....and I don't feel another child would cause issues between us.....I told my OB I wanted my tubes tied after having our son and he steered me away from it.....so here I am.....we used condoms but as I'm sure we all know, nothing is fail proof....and nobody is perfect....I was hoping to get the kids in daycare and get back into school within the next year or so....I am just trying to figure out exactly how long this baby would set me back from achieving those goals before jumping head first in any direction.....but I also feel guilty because Max is only 9 months old and I don't want to rip him off from having his baby time with Mommy and Daddy

Ohhh mama, i know how you're feeling.

It really isn't as bad as it seems  .. they grow up LOTS and become so independent while your pregnant.

He is 21m/o now and our baby is 3 1/2 m/o.. im a tad sleep deprived, but im sure you already know what thats like  

Before you know it they've grown up and you get your sleep back!

I have friends who have had em that close and its made the, best friends!

And you could always do online schooling to save on daycare and such.. Just a few options

Could you do it with 4 if he left you?

You should sit down and make a list of pros and cons of keeping it and then pros and cons of abortion.

Lol I DEF know how it feels to be sleep deprived.....I have come to the conclusion long ago that I traded sleep for motherhood....plain and simple lol.....how does your bigger baby react to the sight of his mama with another smaller baby?

My step daughters are 16 months apart and they are the best of friends lol......and you ARE right about online classes......I never really thought about that

I COULD do it alone....especially since he would never leave me high and dry.....since he and his daughters mother split when their youngest was 8 months old, he has taken his girls every single weekend, paid for all their clothes, diapers, formula etc and paid their mom support.....he's an awesome dad def not the type to just screw me over.....he would never hurt his kids like that

You asked me a question.....I answered it honestly and your answer sounds pretty doubtful.....maybe even a tad critical...I am not here to be critiqued on the quality of my partnership with my S/O......anyway like I said, I would be fine......however, I highly doubt I would have to do it alone......we are highly compatible  

Sarah, I know kind of how you feel. My SO and I were married before and had 2 kids. I had another one after we divorced, and he had two more, so there's 5 total now. Well, we got back together and I am pregnant with my 4th(his 5th). So, we will have 6 total. I am not working, nor will I work after the baby is born unless it comes to a point where I need to, because I go to school as well. I'm not trying to tell you what decision to make, but I will say that I wish you the best no matter what.
