Hell D&D

If you believe in Hell, what do you think it is like and who do you think is sent there?

(This is purely conversational, I'm just curious to see variances in how we all picture Hell).

To me its a hot dungen (sp) and anyone who does not ask God to save them

What do you think people do there? Just sit and burn for eternity?

Revelation 21:8 says:

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur.



Words in the Bible, used to describe Hell are:

• Fire and brimstone

• Furnace of fire

• Judgment by fire

• Fiery oven

• Lake of fire

• Eternal punishment

• Pits of darkness

• Flames of fire

• Burning wind

• Unquenchable fire

• Judgment by fire

...and the Bible says, in Revelation 14:11:

And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

I draw these conclusions because it's what the Bible says Hell is like and who will go.

I belive earth will become hell. My interpritaion is the world is going to "end" as we know it. I think "hell" is going to be for the people who survive whatever natural disaster happens that wipes the rest of us out.

You can be all of those things, (liar, murderer, unbelieving, etc.) but if you repent before you die, you can still avoid Hell, correct?

I thought I would be the only one lol. I belive the book of Revelations, but I have a different interpretation of it.

All who repent SINCERELY (which only God could know) will be saved, I believe.

I don't identify as any one religion, I kind of pull my beliefs from many different religions. I believe in reincarnation. I think our souls and energy are intertwined with everything living and non living on earth. I think we keep "coming back" until the end (or the Apocalypse if you will). I think what is left of earth could very well be the Hell that is described in the Bible.

The only thing I don't understand about that part of Christianity is a truly horrible person who has caused nothing but pain to others his entire life, can go to heaven if he "sees the light" before death...

but someone who doesn't believe, but has led a good, giving life, will go Hell for not accepting Christ.

I apologize if this goes off track, I feel like most religious discussions do anyway as they're so... all encompassing.

Yeah I'm kind of the same way lol. I consider myself agnostic, because I belive a mix of things.

If you truely repent and ask God for forgiveness and to save you yes you go to heaven if you are truely saved you wont want to lie murder etcim not saying that youll never lie again because we all sin even the saved but when you do lie you will be chastized for it because you are a child of God and as for what do you do in hell i dont have a clue the bible says you burn for eternity so i would asume that what happens

I don't understand the mind of God, either. At least, most of the time I don't. All that I know is that I would want to be forgiven for something 20 years ago or just yesterday.

If you don't believe in God, you don't feel you NEED "saving". Being saved is simply being granted the right to be with God, for eternity.

If you don't believe, you don't feel you need "saving". If you don't feel you need it, why would it be given to you. In the end, I feel like God gives you exactly what you want or what you have/haven't asked for.
