Damn Depo (TMI maybe)

So, soon to be DH and I are TTC our first since Oct - Nov 2012. We have had the worst to TTC, may last shot was Oct 5th and now I have been bleeding from Nov 5th to Dec 25th I bleed for that long, the baby danced Dec 29th, Jan 2nd and 3rd, then from Jan 5th to Jan 15th, I am seeing a pattern with the number 5, and on the 16th we baby danced just in case to do O. But everytime we do get a chance to, I start spotting the next damn day like a bloody discharge first to the spotting. I am going to call my DR monday and make an appointment with him and tell him whats going on. Everytime I do call I get the same stupid reply, Its normal cause of the DEPO shot. But this is getting crazy.

I don't know if anyone who has been on the depo have this happen to them but I would love some in sight if this has happen with anyone cause I am starting to getting worried.

I get no pain or anything. I do have a bladder problem called Interstitial Cystits, bascially no bladder wall.

I bled for almost 3 months straight after getting off of it. And it caused me to have really bad ovarian cysts which one burst and caused pretty bad scarring in my fallopian tubes making it nearly impossible to get pregnant.

I had to go on the pill to regulate myself after getting off depo. I bled for like 3 months before I asked my doc about it and they gave me pills.

It took over a year for my cycle to regulate after I got off of depo. For almost that entire time, I had random spotting, a period for 2 weeks straight, then nothing for a month, then a period for a couple days, then nothing for 2 months....it was hell. I wouldn't get your hopes up on conceiving in the next year   But, everyone's body is different. Some women even get pregnant while ON depo. It's a horrible method of b/c, and I wish my doctor warned me about all of that smurf before I got it. Good luck!

Thats the thing, he didn't tell me any of this. I had to ask him whats wrong with me. Sadly enough with me being in the military I am limited on DRs, we live in a small town in the florida keys and hard to find a good one who take tricare. I know its a long shot for me to have our first within this year cause it can take up 18 months. It just making me go crazy and not feel like myself cause basically put it blunt, I feel gross.

I am just sick of getting the same answers when I call him and worried that driving at least an hr to see him and him tell me the same thing that has been said over the phone, NORMAL.

OMG you live in marathon! My son and I are going down to key largo for his spring break! And we are going to the dophlin research center for his birthday!

And I was on depo and it was horrible. I bled for the better part of last year. Maybe a month break the whole time. I had to try different things to stop. But I just let myself bleed until I was done.

I will be moving literally down the street from there, my boss's wife works there. Its a great place to go. I havent been there yet, but DF father built the docks there. But thats whats going on with me, a month after my last shot no bleeding and then to the T I did for over a month, almost 2 months. Its becoming lighter and not lasting longer, but making me worried. How could you of delt with that?

I dont know how I made it stop. Depo is the devil. Next time you go to the doctor and you are still bleeding ask for Aygestin. I took that. And it stopped for a while. But then I realized that I had to wean myself off of it. And that worked also. but then I took one every other day. And that stopped it, and then I started longer periods of time. And then it gradually ended it.   Im sorry that you have to go through with that.

Yeah its an amazing place to go. My son painted a shirt for his birthday last year by one of the dolphins. You should go there!

And yes I feel your pain. In about a week I will start my period and it will be my 4th since I started having them again. And everytime I see blood, I think omg.. I hope I dont bleed forever. Depo needs to be taken off the market!

I agree it does, no woman should have to deal with this. Like I literally got no warning about anything of this haha.

He will be 6 april 5th. Here he is when we were there last year.
