can your uterus change

posted 18th Jan
I was told before I had a normal uterus now im told my uterus is retro.

Is it harder to concieve with a retro uterus. Can it change after pregnancy or did I get lied to at some point?

No on e can figure out how to treat my infection so I had to go for an ultrasound.

I have a tilted uterus + I conceived eventually. We weren't actively trying but it was a year of unprotected sex before it happened. My doc said at the time that it shouldn't cause problems with conception though. He also said it can move back/fix itself without any surgical help.

I'd get it checked then, mine is only a bit tilted (so I was told about 3 years ago maybe it could be different now though) but I definitely heard that corrective surgery can be done to fix it. Might be worth looking into if you're concerned!

Awww I'm sorry to hear that  . That must be terribly hard for you. I really hope you find out what it is soon! Even though we weren't actively trying at the time I still got upset at times that it wasnt happening + that was only a year compared to your 3 years. Can't imagine the upset + frustration you must be feeling now

Well its a good thing we were only 16 we just new we wanted to be together and wanted a baby. Stupid huh? But it took 3 years of unprotected sex for it to happen. I just hope it doesnt take to long to happen again I want them close in age.

Can understand wanting a baby! Part of me wants another very soon lol but my daughter is quite difficult so for the most part I've been put off the idea for now anyway! And I'm single right now so wouldn't be happening anytime soon! Fingers crossed mama, i really hope you get ur BFP really soon!!!

It can change after pregnancy yes. And it should be totally benign and shouldn't make it any harder to concieve...it just means your uterus is tilted back a little. A good friend of mine has a retro uterus and she conceived after a couple months...she just started showing a lot later because of the position of her uterus.
