U/S update :(

After telling me I couldn't have m u/s today, they decided to do it. A diff peri than my own came and did it. Well not the best news but on a good note my cervix is still in the 4cms. Now for the bad news:

1) My placenta like stretched out across my whole left side of my uterus.
2) my csection has to be done around the right side of my abdomen to avoid the placenta because if they hit placenta it can delay how fast they get baby out increasing her risk of bleeding to death.
3) the placenta is bi-lobed, and even made a joke and said "or tri-lobed" because it is taking up so much space and she couldn't see it all because of babies placement. But it's definitely abnormal.
4) because of the placenta abnormalities I am at an increased risk of the placenta not detaching completely during delivery, causing me to bleed bad and have a possible transfusion and if it doesn't detach completely they would have to take y whole uterus out  
5) baby's vessel that is causing the vasa previa is HUGE which means she can bleed out very very quickly. So during delivery they are going to push the cord blood back up towards her then clamp it to make it less likely she'll need a transfusion as well. The risks with that is she could still not have enough blood and need a transfusion or could end up with an excess of blood causing jaundice.

I'm trying to Emotionally take it all in. This hospital stay has gotten the best of me the last two days. I had a meltdown cause They tried to tell me I couldn't take a shower because there was no order put in by a dr. The dr came in while I was Melton down and bawling and hugged me and said its going to be ok, ask for a dr if I question anything, and told me I'm Doing great. She said she may prescribe me some benedryl if I agree to help with my anxiety. That's the first step since its safer than anxiety meds. But if it gets terrible they may suggest some anxiety medication. We'll see. Sam and lylian are finally here so hopefully it'll make the weekend fly by. Then I just have to get through 4 days by myself. Then csection day!!! One more week. Although I feel like giving up at times, I can do this

Holy hell I'm so sorry! I'll be praying it all works out as best as possible for you and baby. How scary :-(

Thanks ladies. I think my biggest fear now that I'm trying to cope with is the exteme case that my baby dies and I need a hysterectomy   Idk what I would do or how I would handle that. I'm sure I'd be transferred to the psych ward after delivery  .

I am so terribly sorry you are dealing with all of this. I hope they have everything planned and ready so they can avoid any disasters. You know you'll be in my prayers come that day.

I had a bilobar placenta with RJ because of a vanishing twin (his placenta was basically absorbing the other much smaller one). I had no problems at all with detachment.
