It's Over.

I haven't signed on this site in about a year now. I wish I never left as I could use support. My fiance' and I also my daughters father just split up. We are notorious for breaking up and getting back together but we were doing so well, we had the picture perfect engagement.

And then ...


He cheated.

I don't get it, he had everything with me and our daughter. We had JUST bought our first home together, he got a full time job doing what he loves doing, and he's plenty satisfied. It kills me that he could hurt our daughter like this. Hurt me all you want but this definitely effects our daughter. If he didn't want to be with me thats fine, we could have made a civilized split. But this makes it ugly.

My heart hurts.

im sorry cheating is very hurtful. was it a one time thing? does he feel bad about it? is he upset at himself? is it forgivable?

He doesn't seem at all hurt or concerned with the fact that I'm hurting. Which maybe is selfish of me to think a guy would actually care about my feelings. And honestly I'm not even concerned with me, and I know our 2 year old daughter doesn't understand but now all she knows is "Daddys Gone" she's sseen him once since all of this went down. And the only reason he saw her was because his Mother wanted to see her. And I HATE THIS because they were best buds. I mean she looks just like her Daddy and they did everything together and this kills me.

Off topic OP, but I was just looking at your profile and noticed your daughter has the same birthday as me and my daughter

It's a PERFECT day for a Birthday! That's so neat you share a birthday with your daughter, your kids are super cute! Can't believe Lilly will be turning 2! Seems unreal!!

seems like you need to have a talk with him. its easier to let go then to try and work on an issue. if you guys truly care about each other you wont just let go. was he drunk when he did it? how did you find out?

How heartbreaking!   So sorry. I just don't understand how a parent could do that. Maybe he is staying away because he feels guilty, and over time he'll come back to his daughter; one can only hope.

First of all, my heart goes out to you . That is so awful, some times we are dealt a bad hand,. ask yourself what could you live with... Then What is best for you? What is best for your child? Did he tell you? if so you could do couples therapy? Right now is the Hardest part, all things shall pass! let me know? Concerned for you.

I walked in on it. In my apartment, My bed. While MY child was asleep in the next room. Definitely not an image I'm going to just put aside and try and work around. He wasn't drunk.

That picture is so old of Lilly she was like 6 months or something. She doesn't even look like the same wittle Lilly!
