Catheter

Without any medical intervention, and so no catheter, wouldn't one squirt pee all over during pushing?
Catheters make me feel like I have to pee really bad but can't..

I bet it's possible, but I didn't with either of my babies.

no, not necessarily......I only peed during delivery with one out of four kids, lol

Im sure it happens, just like when women poop during labor.
As for the catheter, I get the same feeling when I have one in.

I didn't have a catheter and did not pee at all during delivery. They only put them in for patients getting an epidural. Because they obviously can't stand up and walk to the restroom to go.

They take the cath out to push anyway but I guess since it keeps emptying your bladder you wouldn't have a full bladder to pee anyway, except if you're pushing for a long time I suppose. With my first I pushed 3 hours, didn't pee. I think maybe the baby's head might squish the urethra so pee can't get out? I don't know. But trust me, you won't be worrying about peeing while pushing when you're actually doing it.

They take the catheter out to push. But it's weird, when your pushing..you could really care less if you pee or poop. You just want the baby out. lol

Never pooed or peed with any of mine. I wouldn't be concerned though. I've heard if it happens, you won't even know and that the nurse cleans it up before yo even have a clue.

I had a catheter with my son so I guess it was because I had the epidural. I really don't want one again but I am the worst with pain. Pain grosses me out which makes it hurt worse because I picture whats going on inside to cause the pain and the mental image is gross. Weird I know lol.
