Attack on free speech

So this Fox news report is going around (just the ones I have seen, not sure if others are out there).





While I'm aware a lot of you aren't a fan of Fox news, lets move past that  
I want your opinion on the subject. The Secret service can make the judgement call in any situation if they want a protest of any kind. And there's a potential of jail time. Folks, free speech is dwindling.
I am not talking vicious stuff, possible harm. But holding up signs and yes yelling your issues against anyone whom the secret service is with (because Obama can appoint them with anyone he so pleases), can land you with a felony.

I want your thoughts on this one.

I'm listening to it now, but just off the top of my head it makes me think they did it right now because of the protests planned for the inauguration. Supposedly people are going to hold up signs saying "Obama is not MY president."

I find the recent attacks against our constitution extremely alarming.

ETA- Actually looks like this bill is almost a year old now. But yes, still wrong.

This country is moving down the path of fascism and dictatorship, and sadly it's with the blessing if a good chunk of the uninformed electorate. It's really sad that all the rights that were fought so hard for, and not enough people are trying to fight back.

I don't know how anyone can dislike fox news.. the raw truth.. heh.

But.. I am almost not surprised by this. Makes you wonder...what's next? Will our second amendment be altered as well?........

I agree with the fascism/communism thing. The middle class, along with some of our rights, is slowly being eliminated.

wow extreme much? Facism snd dictatorship? Why don't you go and talk to the people in Sudan about this 'dictatorship' and see what they have to say. Im sorry but not being able to have a 100 round clip in your pocket or hold up a sign doesn't make you El Salvador.

No it doesn't The thing is we in America have a constitution for a reason. Not so government can control us, but it was set up in style for the people to have some control over their government.
There are also different levels of dictatorship. No Obama hasn't gone around with machine guns taking people out but by slowing taking control over every aspect of American lives he will be a dictator.

Sorry, I did add a little sarcasm to my post about the 2nd amendment. I am a little concerned with the people who aren't finding these new "changes" (for lack of better words) alarming or worrisome.

Oh sorry I sometimes don't always get sarcasm online. Which might be why I stay out of many a debate on here ha.
But this is very worrisome. I know there will be a "well its for their safety" comments. But a sign, yelling, that's not a harm to him and it's just a starting point for controlling other aspects such as news shows and paper media.

Got to start somewhere. It starts with free speech and weapon restriction, then it's censorship and who knows what else. It's called a slippery slope, and we're sliding down it. You might want to do some real research on Nazi Germany and how they became that way.

Also, I have a Glock 9mm handgun for self defense, the most common in the county, and it's now illegal in New York. 10 rounds is not 100 rounds. For someone who is more than 20 feet away from an attacker and isn't a practiced shot, 10 rounds might be how many they need to make contact, especially if the attacker is rushing them.

Indeed it definitely doesn't but this is the START of something that can get really ugly really quick. I hope we'll never get to that point but if we're starting to alter our own constitution who know's what's next.

we had our guns taken off us 15 years ago (roughly) and I haven't seen a tank rolling down the street or a prison camp yet.
