Ds1 was bottle fed he didn't even hold his own bottle fully until almost a year! And didnt figure out asippy cup until he was around 15 months. He just didn't get or care to really lol he was never a big drinker tho hated formula hated water. He is now 5 and extremely smart normal boy still a little awkward tho with his motor skills sometimes.

DD only wanted boob til at least 9 months. I just bought her all kinds of dippy cups until she found one she liked. The ones with soft tops or the straws she liked first

Go for a straw sippy! My 15month old (breastfed) still doesn't understand regular sippies either.

The first one dd had was a silicone top one and she just gnawed on it. Then I tried hard spouts and she just grinded her teeth on them. I finally found this one by fever that had a hard ish rubber spout and that was perfect. She didn't suck on it at first. She'd bit it and let it drip out. It was probably 10 mos before she really got it down. Don't worry mama. Shell get it.

Straw cups is all my girls really take well too. The perfect cup for them is the munchkin click lock straw cup. The straw is wider than the others we'd tried.

Ds never took a bottle. He likes the nuk cups with the silicone spouts, but doesn't understand tipping. He LOVES straws! It took him a few tries to get the hang of it, but he is obsessed now. The straws we tried at 9 month and wish we would have sooner.

Quoting melindapple:" I exclusively breast fed the first 7 months (no bottles, tried once and she didn't take to it). How long ... [snip!] ... is okay? I don't really think there is anything I can do to help her except continue to let her practice with it anyway right?"
Mine's 7 months and bottle fed. Can't feed herself with the bottle, nor figure out how to tip the sippy yet. I have yet to try a straw cup though.
