membrane sweep??

Is it normal to feel like crap a good few hours after a membrane sweep? Braxton hicks.are my back is killing, i keep having shooting pains going on in my groin.. I had all this before the sweep but it seems to be alot more &alot more uncomfortable  

I had awful cramps all three times for a few hours afterwardsand felt miserable!!! . After the third time they lasted for ten hours...thought to myselfo maybe these are contractions...sure enough they were every 4.5 minutes apart! Went to the hospital 4 hours later. Ds was born 26 hours after the sweep!

This is my first sweep.. I got told it doesnt work for that many people but midwife said she could feel the babies head? She didnt say anything else x
