Heartbeats

Everyone seems to be so sure that this baby is a girl because of the heartbeat being 177 at our ultrasound. Even the woman who did the ultrasound was betting her life that this baby is a girl. She went off of some kind of lesson about how girls' hearts are stronger than boys. I sort of stopped listen after she decided she was so sure...
My son's was 151 at the early ultrasound.
Obviously it's an old wives' tale and not accurate. But please do share your experience with heartbeat and sex of baby. I'm still hoping for a boy. lol

I don't think there's really a link between heart rate and gender. My boy's heart rate was in the 160s at the first u/s. Besides that one, he's stayed at around 150.
But I've heard of women having boys around 170 and girls around 150.

I've heard this myth to the effect that girls are in the 170s and that boys are in the 140s, whereas I've also heard that girls are in the 140s, and boys are in the 170s. My oldest son tended to stay in the 140s, my daughter was in the 130s, and my youngest was in the 150s.
In all honesty, there is NO link between heart rate and gender. It's just a bunch of silliness.

I'm having a boy but at my first couple ultrasounds his heartbeat was 179 and then in the high 160s. It has slowly dropped down to the 150s, but everyone told me up until I found out that he was a boy that it would be a girl because of the heartbeat.
So you could still be having a boy! Good luck!!

my sons hb at his first ultrasound was 168 and it stayed in the 150s til my last week of pregnancy

With my first and second children, their heartbeats were always between 140-150. Both boys.
This pregnancy at 7 weeks was 141bpm, 9 weeks was 185bpm, 11 weeks was 170bpm and 160bpm and above since then. It is another boy. Even all the other old wives tales and Ramzi method were pointing towards girl. Lol.
