TMI... is this a yeast infection??

Yesterday I woke up... itchy and thought ok I must have/be getting a yeast infection. Today its itchy and BURNING... AHH! I've only had one other yeast infection and didn't experience the burning. I just took monistat yesterday. Is this normal or should I call the doctor?

i say if it doesn't go away with monistat, set up an appt.

Mine always burns before it itches.

If the vagina is irritated, yes the burning is normal. Monistat usually comes with a cooling lotion or whatever. It made things worse for me, I usually just slab some really cold plain yogurt on a pad and put it on.

Monistat can cause burning!

I would totally consider that during a yeast infection. Gah mine are so painful

Me too! It's awful.  

Thanks ladies! I hope everything clears up soon, I'm SO uncomfortable! I almost considered dynamite.... almost ;)
