Tomorrow is my due date! Last appt today.

I'm going to ask them to sweep my membranes! Since I'll be 40 weeks tomorrow do u think I have a good chance of it working? I haven't lost my mucous plug or anything yet.

Didn't work for me, but works for some people.

They swept mine when i was a week overdue and I was already at 3 and went into labour later that night.

The day before my due date (wasn't dilated or effaced at all!) and then the next week I had a non-stress test and they induced me becaus baby's heart rate kept dropping whenever I'd have a contraction.

It wont work unless your body is ready.

I have had 3 the last one was only 2 days ago and i've got the same due date! I have had contractions but then they stopped this lil one likes to play games!

Hi due date is tomorrow to dont know how it works near you but my midwife informed me they dont want to do sweeps in our area until Im 7 days over which is poo but worth asking xx

I had a cervical check yesterday and I swear my midwife tried to take that baby out by hand it hurt so bad...I'm thinking she tried to do something else. but so far no bleeding or anything..just hard contractions.
I hope you have a smooth sweep and labor  

So the sweep didnt hurt at all but my cervix was completely closed so she stretched me to 1 cm.   she said she couldn't be that aggressive with it since my cervix was closed to begin with. Ugh.... I haven't progressed at all. I'm really worried my attempted VBAC is going to end in a repeat c-section. They set my induction date for 1 wk from today.  

I also think its pretty weird that I haven't had any contractions at all... Not even once.  

Labor dust* I'm going for a VBAC too.

Oh hun I'm feeling your pain I'm now 4 days over but I've had something like 5 sweeps and this lil boy is still not coming so they booked me in for me to be induced on tuesday 29th I can't believe they are letting me go this long as both my other 2 were early and both were big babies so scared that i'll end up with a c-section. This is the worst time I've had with the hospital they just haven't listened to a word that I have been saying! Good Luck and hope all goes well!

Well I'm still pregnant. Had another appt today, they stripped my membranes for the 2nd time this time it hurt a little more but she said I've progressed to 2-3 cm's and she could feel baby's head. I've been spotting ever since my appt this morning. Oh and they pushed back my induction to Sunday instead of Friday because the hospital is over booked on medical inductions.... Smh. I'm so impatient! I haven't had a single contraction.. I'll be 41 wks, 1 day when they finally induce me.   i just wanna meet him already.

Good Luck mama!! I keep havin dreams about my baby but I'm only 36 weeks and my doc doesn't do inductions until 42+. So I might have 6 weeks to go lol
