WEIRDEST pregnancy crave

Ever walk into a home depot or a hospital waiting room, or a newly painted room and just wanted to eat that amazing smell...... Like the smell of new foam toppers! Or sponges. Omg it's the weird thing! I want to eat my dish soap... I feel like an effing weird-o! LOL It just, I just wanna eat that smell! I wish they could put home depot/ egg crate foam smell in a bottled air freshener it's driving me INSANE.

Gasoline...and I've liked nature smelling candles like pine, or berries, flowers or bamboo or eucalyptus, and normally im all about the fresh scent!!

I think it's called PICA and it's linked to anemia. Have you had anemia throughout this pregnancy? And you might mention it to your OB at your next appointment if you're not already on iron supplements.

That sounds like it could be pica. I'd make sure to tell your doctor about it!

I don't feel the urge to eat anything, but for as long as I can remember, I've loved the smell of hospitals, especially the elevators at the one I go to for L&D, and shoe stores, and new cars, I don't know what to call the smell, but I love it.

I've shown up anemic a few times throughout this pregnancy I think she's aware though. I'll tell her I have an apt on Tuesday. Also I've ALWAYS loved these smells. Now I just want to eat them

My SO's sons room smells like those smells. He's only here two maybe three days a week, and otherwise his door is shut and no one goes in there. I think it has to do with stale air I love that smell as well. And I've ALWAYS loved these smells, I remember burying my face in an egg grate foam topper when I was little and not being able to get enough of it!

Ew shoe stores always smell like dirty feet to me... From people taking their shoes off. Yuck. Lol

They smell like new rubber and packing materiel's. I've never smelled a shoe store that smelled like feet lol gross.

YUP tell your doc ASAP they need to check for some things

i never wanted to eat it but i love the smell of the cleaner fabuloso oxy i cant stop cleaning with that stuff i wish i could bath in it and i use alot of dawn if i have one dish dirty i gotta wash it just to smell the soap...

Idk this dish soap we got smells like tide laundry soap and I use it for everything now because I can't get enough of the smell <3
