Implantation and when to test?

I've read up online that they say you should wait 4-5 after implantation bleeding to test, but I haven't seen anything to give me an actual answer.
When they say 4-5 days after, are they talking about when the spotting starts or finishes?
Like If you spot for 3 days, do you wait 5 days after you finished spotting or wait 5 days from the day it started?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I haven't been able to get a proper answer anywhere.

You can get a positive result as early as 8dpo, implantation happens anywhere from 6-10dpo... you can get a frer, even if it is early just test again in a few days.

Thanks. I might go get a test. AF was due today, but I've been very lightly spotting since Monday. Which is very unusual because I never spot before. Because AF hasnt showed I should be able to pull a bfp right?

I usually spot when Oing (no spotting this month...)
But you can also have a bit of blood from sex and such that works it's way down.
Hopefully it's implanting, and baby dust for you

Thanks! Im 2-3 days late for AF today. Took a test yesterday and im pretty sure it was a bfn, so im gonna wait a few more days and if still nothing ill test again. Because ive never had spotting and no period. Fingers crossed!
