for those of you who have previously labored...

ive been having contractions for TWELVE DAYS now... some are painful and regular and some are braxton hicks - but they are all day everyday! but even after 12 days, im only 2 centimeters dialated.

my question is actually about gas pains - i thinki have gas and its causing pain in my lower abdomen... so obviously its worse and sometimes only noticeable when im having a contraction. im getting nervous that they are real and imwriting them off as nothing - like im mistaking them for gas and BH when they are really the real thing??

do you think i would know the difference

The real painful ones that get stronger and stronger are real...

I had some that just were my stomach hardening and didn't hurt... when the pain came, I "knew" it was real.

Lay down and drink some water, if they stop they're BH... if not they're real.

If nothing else, contractions (the REAL deal) get progressively worse and worse... So sooner or later, yeah, you would realise that its not gas or the BH anymore, but "OMG Honey we need to go NOW!!!" LOL

do you feel anything in your lower back?

well thats the thing - no matter what i do, they never stop!!! painful or not. i dont quite understand. they might slow down, even to just one an hour, but it never fails, they keep coming.

and yes, my lower back has been killing me since yesterday - but that pain doesnt come and go with the contractions, its constant?

Previously labored...ha! I dunno why I thought that was so funny.

I labored for 2 weeks. I had back labor though. And it sucked.

I have been having the same thing since monday   .... they said they will only take baby if i dialate which my body doesnt seem to do by itself.... hence the reason for the c-section... I thought I wouldnt know either but I just couldnt handle the pain anymore and thats when I went in....If i had just dialated a little bubby wouldve been here already ...oh well... hang in there we dont have too much longer now and I am enjoying all the spicy food and coke while i still can    once BF happens you can hardly have anything   .....

Damn and here I have been waiting bc I was afraid I was too far from my due date to bother, that they would send me home!!! I have been miserable for like a week now but I AM dilated (a little over 1)and was almost all the way effaced as of last week!! Now I am wondering if I should go ahead and call my Dr after all...

they have to take bubby once dialated because I have to have a c-section if I was having a "normal" birth then they would just send me back until contractions got to 5 minutes apart.... so all I am waiting for is a little dialation and then they will do the op....I am booked in on the 23rd at 7:30 with 2 older kids it makes it a little (lot) easier knowing how long I have and so I can get all their meals ready for the week ..... I am sorta looking forward to spending 5 days in hospital with the little one... LOL.... woohoooo 16 days LOL...maybe sooner but i def. dont think that will happen though my kids are way to stubborn hehehehe...

Ah, I see... Yeah, I am kind of hoping they will schedule an induction bc of the same reason (the 2 older kids) so I can get someone to stay with them so my hubby can be with me... Kind of a let down, here I was going to go running in LOL j/k I am hoping she gets it together soon... This will be so much easier once she joins us LOL

yep...and its sooooooo exciting to be sooo close.... I just wish the baby felt the same way about meeting me LOL..... yeah i figured I would go running today too   .... I am just gonna relax today and hopefully fingers crossed something pops inside and I get to go in.....yeah right LOL....
