Thing's I won't miss about being fat.

posted 18th Jan
So i'm on a huge weight loss journey to lose over 100lbs or 47 kilos.
I was laying in bed last night and I was just thinking about all the things I won't miss, when I get to a healthy weight so I thought i'd list them to see if people can relate and share theirs.

1- Seeing your underwear and thinking "oh no, that can't be mine .. it's so big.." and then it fits you perfectly..

2- Sweat. Leg sweat, arm sweat, butt crack sweat, boob sweat, belly button sweat.

3. Chafing. Oh summer how you hate me when my huge thighs rub together.

4. Fat arms. I live in little cardigans like all the time because I hate my arms a lot.. lately I've seen people looking at them and getting a little freaked out at how much they giggle.

5. Seeing new stretchmark's and being in complete denial that your old ones are now red again and growing.

6.Hating clothes shopping.. Not that i'm a huge shopaholic.. but i'd like to go shopping just once and not be so traumatized about the size.. or how nothing fits me right or how bad I feel.

7. Feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I'm no super model.. but I just feel uncomfortable and out of place all the time..

I think that's all for now.

I'm trying to lose 100 as a jump start. My goal is 150, but here is a few I would add

Avoiding full length mirrors at all costs

Trying to explain to your size small 32x34 size waist DH that your clothes are more expensive because it needs more fabric and you really did only get one pair of jeans for $40.

It really does. I know being overweight is kind of (dare I say) our choice, but I can't shop at certain stores and get the 14.99 jeans like he can.
I'm not making excuses but you would think its common sense more fabric = higher prices. I get embarrassed enough purchasing clothing from plus sized stores I don't need him asking why its so much more

I agree.. I want my heart rate to pump when I go for a RUN.. not when I walk up 2 flights of stairs.

I really feel you on that one.
DH enlisted in the Navy so he went on a health kick and he was SERIOUSLY told he was too fat at 181 for his height. So he complained to me for DAYS about how 181 was too fat and how he really needed to lose 10lbs. Like really? You're sitting there at 181 and saying how you're too fat when I'm over here at 290. So if 181 is too fat, I hate to know what I am considered

Most of those apply to me... I'm not huge huge but I wear a size 18-22. I won't miss going into a store in the mall & feeling out of place because I'm being stared at like I don't belong because I can't wear a size 5

I won't miss having people ask where my cute dresses came from & having to answer 'Motherhood Maternity'

& I won't miss how much lower my self esteem has been because of my size.
