Us too! I want take out to be a treat.
Just very good at trying everything I'm making and if she doesn't like it that's ok. I also don't force them to eat everything in their plate (my family did that) as long as she eats some protien and her veggies I'm happy

Exactly, they have to trust when their bodies are saying to them, if they arn't hungry then I have to believe them, I will ask them, are you still hungry? And if they say no, then that's that. I think that's why a lot of people tend to over eat, because they forgot to listen to their stomachs!!

I have to remind brandon all the time. Emma's 5 think of how tiny her stomach is. That's why she eats often and not a lot

Yup that's the problem the whole clean your plate don't waste mindset. It's sated whether it goes in your body or not because of your body doesn't NEED it it's waste. Might as well have thrown it away and not had the lasting effects on your body. I never make dd eat everything. I tell her to listen to when her belly says she's full.

I just hate when she throws the "I'm full" card, then 20 min later wants a snack lol

Exactly. my son is the same way!! So I just leave his supper plate in the fridge for an hour or so. Then if he says he's still hungry, he can have some of his supper.

Yeah dd tries to sneak one over on us. She's 5 and getting into this sneaky phase. So she'll try to get a "treat" like we forgot she didn't eat dinner haha. She gets somoissy when I tell her "well there's fruit in the bottom drawer"

I started my weight loss journey over 18 months ago. I have successfully met my goal weight, but wasn't easy and took over 2 years to get my smurf together and realize there is no miracle pill and there isn't a single fad diet that is effective long term.

These are things I absolutely don't miss, some match the OP's

1. Feeling unattractive
2. Wearing comfy clothes all the time
3. Shamefully wearing maternity jeans 2 1/2 years after the birth of my youngest because I REFUSE to find out my jean size.
4. The relentless comments from others telling me "I have let myself go"
5. Weighing more than my SO, which thankfully I now weight much less than him, this one really bothered me
6. Refusing to go out anywhere due to feeling unattractive and allowing myself to get jealous if a gorgeous skinny girl happened to be around.
7. Hating myself and slipping into a deep depression because I had gone from a size 0 to what I will guess was a size 14/16
8. Not wanting to have sex with lights on or any clothes from the waist up being taken off.

I seriously could keep going, but these bothered me the most.

To the ladies starting your weight loss journey, don't give up! You can do this. Don't look at the end result because it can easily discourage you when small weight losses happen. Take it in 5-10 pound increments. Buy a pair of jeans one size smaller than your current size and set your goal to fit into those.

Losing weight is hard, but not impossible. Best of luck to all!!
