People have so many different ideas of what is appropriate and what is attractive. I think the problem many women face is that they quite often see themselves on a different way then how they truly look.

Ex- women squeezing into pants that take them fifteen minutes to pull on. They have their smurf hanging out all over. Looking lumpy, panty line, you can practically count their pubes.
I don't think they know they look that way. I think they look in the mirror and maybe felt overweight and the right clothes made them feel sexy which they may have desperately needed. But they don't really look beyond the confidence it provides them.

It's no fun to have someone criticize you for how you dress. I do think moms should dress as moms, which doesn't need be unattractive. But this chick sounds very judgmental. To counter that, I think it is fantastic to have a friend who can offer constructive criticism, let you know when the look is not right for you, and help you out in a positive way.

i may not have big boobs or a boyfriend that allows me to dress skanky prego or not or not have my license party n drink anymore

I pretty much have been living in yoga pants, or sweats, and tank tops since I got out on bed rest... but when I go out I still wear jeans with boots and a nice top (a sweater if its colder) I do my hair and makeup and wear jewelry. When they still fit though I continued wearing some of my "sexier" dresses and tops because I felt good wearing them.

If you dress the way you are shown in your photo, that is IMO what I find tasteful for mothers. And not in the least grandmaesque. You look great in your pic! I can't even imagine what the other person looked like when they made that comment about you.

I grew up Mormon. So I feel odd wearing anything too revealing- their were dress standards we followed. My biggest discomfort with clothing is wearing short skirts. Too short makes me feel naked. I buy short skirts on occasion, lol, but I never leave the house in them. I always feel like my butt is hanging out. I prefer about an inch or two above the knee.

i live in pajama pants n my tanks tops but there getting small so now im movin to big t shirts lol
i still try to fit into them but the seams on the side of my tank tops look like there about to rip hahaha... there so comfy though with the built in bra dnt have to have one on
i just recently order new makeup to try to change my look a little i always get cheap stuff but i want a change
i want to change my dress style after my daughter but i think prego pants are so comfy lol idk if i can get rid of them hahaha

I dress no differently save for the fact that I spend a lot more time in pajamas these days because I'm on bed rest. My usual attire is an undershirt (a plain tank or camisole), a thermal, a t-shirt, a pair of jeans and either my zip up boots with the furred cuff or my insulated camo boots.

I guess you could say I go for the modest country girl look. I like to be comfortable and look presentable without looking like white trash. I can't stand seeing women, particularly mums, dressing in fashions that are horrible for their bodies (i.e. that 20lbs of sugar in a 5lb sack look)

I do like to dress up a bit and look sexy on occasion, but I still take care to make sure my ass and tits are properly concealed. If I'm going for sexy, I'll push things with a bit of cleavage for my husband and that's about it. sometimes I do feel like I'm being a bit of a prude, but it's mostly because I'm unsure of myself. I've always been a tomboy, so dressing in a more feminine manner has been quite the learning process. I am also very careful not to disrespect myself, my husband and now our child by my wardrobe choices. I would hate for my daughter to one day resent me because I'm the mum who dresses like she's 16 and all the boys at school wanna bang.

i grew up christian n omg my mom had me in straight grandma clothes then lol long dresses long skirts my hair was idk even know she didnt let me put anything in my hair to fix it so it was just a wild mess.

when i used to go out before i met my bf i whore pants or capris a dress a couple times but they were my frends n didnt feel right cus i had to make sure my butt wasnt comin out
i never have felt comfy showin my legs omg especially now wit the stretchy's yucky lol
i was blessed to find a add con craigslist recently this lady was selling toooooooooooons of maternity clothes n i hate buying myself stuff but i needed clothes n i was just gona go to the thrift store
but seen this add n the lady was my hight so everything fit so good n she had shorts but not too short there just right for summer

I'm never getting rid of my maternity jeans... most comfortable pants ever lol. No one will ever know either except my boyfriend. I have a few maternity tank tops and I bought a few cheap ones in a size large to fit my huge belly. All my t-shirts and sweaters are pretty stretchy though so I just kept wearing them.

Whenever I get pregnant I always get this desire to change my wardrobe! I have on occasion even done stupid makeovers- like cutting my hair short, or dying it a bad color. With all the physical changes we go through during pregnancy it can be very difficult to find a comfortable way to feel attractive!

Pregnancy has really changed me fashion-wise. Before my first, I dressed in baggy jeans and t-shirts at least 50% of the time. After I had her, I ventured off into well-fitting jeans, cute tanks and t-shirts, and high heels. With my second, I explored shorter shorts and showing off my legs more. After I had her, I had a hige wardrobe explosion with all kinds of cute, girly things that accentuated my figure.

Right now I'm condemned to all of my loose t-shirts my hisband got from working at a bar because none of my nicer, well-fitting stuff fits anymore. At home, I'm usually wearing a Bacardi or Captain Morgan's t-shirt with my fleece camo pj pants and slippers, lol. Going out, it's a thermal with a bacardi shirt (only has the bacardi bat on it, so it's not as obvious that I'm an alcohol billboard  ) I'm dying to go shopping for some new stuff after baby is born. It'll be nice to refresh my wardrobe with form-flattering clothing and stuff that makes me feel less scruffy.
