Was that a migraine?

I don't even know what happened this evening. Was feeling kind of crummy all day, then about an hour after the kids came home from school I had a very intense headache. Every little noise the kids made just had me feel like I was on the verge of screaming. So DH took over for the evening. I secluded myself to my room and within a half an hour couldn't handle the bedroom light or even the glare of my iPad. And then I completely passed out and slep until the kids bedtime.when I woke up I was having difficulty talking, and all the sounds around me were still too loud, but without much pain in my head.

Now I'm feeling drained yet awake.

What the crap was that?

I eat well, keep hydrated. It almost felt like I was drugged!

Sounds like a migraine... but you were having difficulty talking? Like slurred speech?

sounds pretty similar to a migraine to me but if you have never had one before i'd definitely consult your doctor in the morning.

I would call your OB in the AM, your blood pressure might be elevated, and the cause. It is serious and important that you call your OB.

I get them before my period all the time but ive never had slurred speech or couldn't talk

Couldn't put words together clearly, felt completely confused and just in general having extreme difficulty speaking. Not slurring.

I have had migraines off and on, but the duration is typically much longer, it does not effect my speech, and they are always accompanied with nausea, puking, and visuals of flashing lights or tunnel vision.

So I am confused with the difference on symptoms.
I will call my OB in the morning.
I just checked my blood pressure and its great.

What was your blood pressure?

No. It wasn't a heart attack.
Blood pressure was the same average for me as always. 97/65

Was definitely neurological. The pain in my head was excruciating! But it has now completely subsided.
