Csection- healing time?

posted 17th Jan
Just wondering how long it takes to heal inside and out completely? I am 3 weeks pp and my outside incision feels fine, i believe its closed. The top part of it or above feels uncomfortable to the touch. Pls share, thx you.

Depends on what you plan on doing. You should take it easy for the full 8 weeks to make sure all is properly healed and you don't get a hernia.

Mine is still weird to touch and my daughter will be a year on the 27th lol. It is also still numb but I don't get that burning feeling anymore from it, that stopped about 7 months pp.

I feel the same way and I'm 4 weeks pp. My steristrips started peeling off yesterday and now I'm scared that I'm going to rip my incision open lol.

Nah, you will be fine. My incision re-opened because I got a nasty infection in it...took 3 months for it to completely close.

It took me like 2-3 months. I felt fine, just sometimes I got these weird pains. But It still felt funny when I touched it at a yr. PP.

The numb starts to go away in few months. Your nerve endings will regrow. then it will itch for a bit.

Yeah I had that numb feeling for a pretty long time and occasionally it still itches and I'm almost 2.5 years PP lol. But the numb feeling went away after like 3 months I think. If I moved in the wrong way it still hurt a little after about a month.

Ahh ok, good to know lol. It still hurts pretty bad like when I throw up, omg it is horrible. Did you have that issue? That is the only time I get pain in my incision.

Still cant sleep on my tummy though, cant wait to be able to do that again!

Not really. At about 11 months pp I had an emergency surgery where they went thru my c-section scar to fix an issue. So, it was quite some time before I was fully healed but it didn't ever really "hurt".
