I like the heft of the D7k. I like that I can take it out in the rain and not have to worry, or be out shooting something and have the weather turn sour.
It feels so much better in my hands than my old D3k. That thing felt like a toy. This feels like a real camera.
Everyone's different, but I prefer the size of the D7k 100%

Haha does he wanna do it for me? Lmao. I'll have it paid off max of 5 weeks! Lmfao.

Having 2 dials is SO convenient.
And omg...dedicated ISO and WB buttons...So freaking awesome. There's a button for everything, I love it

Body size doesn't really matter to me. I shot with a D3x for a friends wedding awhile ago and I had rented it for a week. I stash that stuff in my purse anyway so it's not a huge deal.

Gah. I'm sold!!! I hate that you have to push a button and spin a dial to change the aperture on the 3100. It's frustrating! Lol. How hard was the D7k to get use to??

Well it looks promising that I will start a job in March that pays twice as much as my last job!

Then I think you for sure have your answer.   The D90 gets looked down upon a lot and it's sad. It is an excellent camera. But yes, if you can get the other for the same cost, why not?

It didn't take me very long. The first time I used it I got a hand cramp, lmao, but if you've shot with a D3x that'll be no thing.
Of course there's the button layout difference, but I pretty much learned all the new stuff myself.
There is SO much customization to it. Like in the menus, it's great.
I recommend reading Ken Rockwell's guide for it through before you get it.

My favorite button on the camera has to be the focus selector one:
You just press that little button and it changes your AF area mode. So convenient.

I don't think it necessarily gets looked down upon because back in 09'/10' (I think) people raved about that camera. It's just older now and they've since come out with bodies that have replaced it. It's not that it's not a good camera or people don't like it.

That's nice!! Is the BBF button in an awkward place like it is on the 3100??
