We gave DS $5 last week, because he's five years old. He went and threw it in the trash because I told him it wasn't enough to buy a box of lego. Little smurf.

Lol damn! Kids these days huh? Our $1 and $2 coins are gold colour, my son thinks they're treasure

My son doesn't understand the concept of money. We don't do allowance because it's important to contribute to the house even if you don't get paid. So sometimes if they want something we just pick it up. And I need to find a way to teach money value. :/ I feel like I'm failing already and he's only 5

Lol, its ok... I would tell my grandpa and he would give me money, he wasn't slick about it tho, he would like walk away and get his wallet then be like *oh the toothfairy didn't know if u were here or at home, she told me to give this to u* hand me like a 20.

I used to play every1 tho, I knew my mom was santa, the bunny, ect. When I was like 5... she would write *to Kris from Santa*
And it was hher writing   I was like 10 she was still doing it I didn't know how to tell her I already knew lol

We don't do pocket money either! But my kids are only 6 2 and 5months lol. I never grew up with an allowence. We got treats and stuf when we behaved and we do the same for my son. He has a few basic chores to do that's just expected of him but I'm probably a bit lenient. He puts his dirty clothes in the laundry and his dishes and toys etc away. That's pretty much it.

That's so sweet of your grandpa! I used to play my mum and dad off lol mum would give me a few dollars and dad would give me 20. I'd cash in twice on the one tooth lol.
I always used to wonder why my Xmas presents from mum said from mum and at my dads they all said from santa lol

Lmfao... my husband would do that if I let him!!! I guess when he was lil and they would ask his parents about santa his dad would tell them,
*I'm santa u lil smurfs, u know what I had to do for those presents, then he'd go on a rant in spanish cussing about *santa*

me and my mom do shopping together, when it comes time for the tags and I look specifically for tags or cards that have from santa, a few time I had my cousin write it for me... I don't underestimate my kids haha, my mother always rolls her eyes when were putting tags, on... out of no where she's like *get over it* u got stuff didn't u??   she's such a brat... 

$5 is the going rate for teeth in my house. lol

I got a quarter... Some of your kids are making out like bandits!
