Please slap some sense into her and her friends. If you are trying for a unique name there is no need to turn a pretty name into a yooneek name.... ugh its Faith if she wants the correct spelling the other two options make me not like that name at all

lol. i'm from texas, and were not all bad ;) BUT-my parents spelled my phonetically to save me from dealing with silent e's-and set me up for a lifetime of correcting the spelling. it sucks, and even pointing out that i have a 3 page birth certificate and a high school diploma with my name spelled wrong, a debit card with e's in it, and a slew of other things...shes like, I want her to be different!

I mentioned this in an earlier thread but I thought my name was fairly simple to spell, yet I get Lacy, Lacie, Laci and even Laycie all the time. Its rather annoying.

I did a search on facebook, and there are AT LEAST 50 Faythes. Its not that different lol

You keep saying she wants her child to be different... does she want the childs name different or does she think if the child has a different name she will automatically be different from other people?
