what illness is this?
posted 17th Jan
DH swears i have the flu. I had a sore throat and a lot of sneezing yesterday. Today is mostly stuffy nose and a headache from all the pressure around my eyes which i think are sinuses. I am really tired today and when i stood up a bit ago to take my toddler potty i almost blacked out.
What do you think?
Both kids amd dh got over nasty colds about two weeks ago which i missed. I have also had a postnasal drip almost comstantly the past few months.

Sounds like the cold.
Blacking out I'd go to the doctor.

To me it sounds like a head cold.

Sounds like a cold. I was watching "The Doctors" and they said a good way to tell if its the flu versus a cold is that "A cold's symptoms are usually from the neck up where as the Flu makes your whole body feel achy."

I am thinking sinuses too but i never had any sinus problems until today. Thats why i dont know what it is. Just me entire head though nothing else is hurting. I can breathe through my nose right now with no boogers blocking the way.

When my sinuses act up it hurts to look at light, hurts to bend forward, and I had pain in my forhead. I also had coughing and congestion with it. My doc put me on Amoxicilian

I domt really have any congestion right now but i did earlier. Sensitive to light thats why im not on the computer. No coughing either. Tried steam earlier and it helped the pain a little but once i got out of it the pain came back. DH is going to get me spicy food. Anything else i can do at home? And how long does sinus pain last?

My doctor also told me to use a humidifier. It can last for weeks without antibiotics. To ease the pain take some over the counter sinuse medicine
