I like it, and I don't understand why anyone would try to pronounce it like "Lyle," since it's spelled phonetically correct, just like Brielle. But, I do like Brielle much better.

No, I was pronouncing it lee-elle, just like you said in the OP. It is not pretty IMO.

No, it's Lee-Elle, phonetically spelled and pronounced like the French name Brielle.BTW Brielle is pronounced Bree-elle, in case there is any confusion there.

Yeah, we read the OP. We know how it's "supposed" to be pronounced - we're just telling you what's going to happen in the real world....people are going to butcher it daily.
