However, we have always planned to have two children, I don't want to experience early pregnancy again, nor do I want to have a newborn again, so I don't think I'll get another chance  .

I didn't think I would want to see a placenta but after my first child was born, my midwife asked me if I wanted her to show it to me and I suddenly wanted to. I found it pretty interesting (a little gross though  ).

lol i didnt even get asked.. haha
the only thing i said yes was to see her right away. but before i had her i wanted her clean first lol. but that changed real quick.

I asked at my first appointment, but it was just with a midwife, not the dr. and she said that another woman kept hers to encapsulate, but she told them she was planting it. it's stupid to lie, i'm gonna check with my dr. on tuesday to make sure i can take it.

Oh wow, I started reading about this and bookmarking nearby doulas to contact when I'm further along! This would be amazing if I can get someone to travel because I have a history of ppd.
I had been told I could start taking anti depressants as a preventative.

Can you still do this with delayed cord cutting?

Yes you can have delayed cord cutting and still encapsulate. That's our plan

Ok cool thank you   I wasn't sure if that was a silly question! I couldn't find anything online about it. I really want delayed cord cutting this time if we can so that's good to know!
