Juggalos - Were the F.B.I right in classifying them as a "Ga

I ask this question after coming across this article on a crime website I frequent.

I am 35 years old but I was a "juggalo" from the time I was 13 until just a few years ago..   I am completely embarrassed by it now. I was contemplating whether the F.B.I was right in classifying Juggalos as a gang. I didn't really think it was necessary at first because most juggalos are harmless, but apparently a new generation of juggalos has hatched and they are evil, little painted trolls. I know there will be lots on here who hate I.C.P and a few who like them but I guess I am just looking for others opinions on this.

Do Juggalos do anything illegal?

No, they are a bunch of kids or people who act like kids...the majority of them, anyway...that are human advertisements for Psychopathic. Far from an organized gang. The reason the FBI are considering it is because most people who like ICP and the rest of them are from low income families with smurffy backgrounds and are more than likely break the law by doing something stupid. Hardly a gang though.

I know someone who loves ICP and considers himself a juggalo. Do I think they should be classified as a gang? Absolutely not. But the government has proven itself to be retarded at times so what can you do?

But no, they shouldn't be classified as a gang. Gangs, by definition, are groups of organized criminals. A bunch of stoners listening to clowns rap while they drink faygo, hardly equates organized crime.

I was real big into Psychopathic Records. I liked ICP, Dark Lotus, Twiztid, a large majority of them. I didn't classify myself as a Juggalette though because I HATE labels, HATE it. I don't even like classifying myself as an atheist.
That being said, no, Juggalos/lettes in general are not gang members, though I do believe that a gang of Juggalos/lettes could be formed and be a legit gang.

I had nothing against Juggalos/lettes until my ex fiance 'became' one. Now I hate them because of him lol. None of the ones that I've ever met did any real harm, they were just super annoying with their quotes and the tattoos of a man or woman running with a hatchet. I don't think of it as a gang, but more of an awkward cult lol.

Yeah but have you seen all the crimes JUGGALOS have been mentioned in?
I used to be one too... they smurfing did it to themselves. Some of them are morons and THINK they are in a gang thus doing stupid smurfing smurf.

I don't think they should be classified as a gang whatsoever. Yes some, but not all, may take part in illegal activities but it's no different then any other person who doesn't listen to "juggalo" music doing the same things. Are "maggots" (slipknot) also considered to be a gang? Didn't think so.

I would say more of a phase that some people don't grow out of. lol. Hardly a cult.

There are a lot of Christians that get mentioned in crimes. Oh snap, athiests, too. And what about those damn white people? Or the black ones? Or the asians? Or the healthy ones? Or the mentally ill ones? Or, or, or....??

Yes, some do commit crimes - just like people who listen to ANY OTHER MUSIC. For the MOST PART, the MAJORITY of people who call themselves Juggalos/Juggalettes, come from lower to lower middle class backgrounds, which TYPICALLY have lower levels of parental guidance, lower education, and lower levels of mentor/mentee relationships - which has a hell of a lot more to do with how the people turn out as adults than the fact that they listen to ICP.
