Quoting Tarynosaurus Rex:" No, I label them idiots for giving into a completely moronic little cult. The fans act like children, ... [snip!] ... the icing on the cake. I think Nickelback makes smurffy music but their fans (all 2 of them) don't rub me the way ICP fans do."
I wouldnt call them a cult. It is more of a subculture, like goth, punk, emo, or hippies.
I don't know who you met, but my friends are not childish. They just like enjoying underground rap and corny lyrics. They put on "shows" to let loose and unify old friends. All of them have respectable degrees, jobs, and children.
ICP just appeals to the "different" children in school and make them feel as important as anyone else....or at least they did for me. I wouldn't drink poisoned Faygo for them though and I definitely wouldn't buy any new albums released after I finished Sophomore year. Just listening to the past songs, not just by ICP. It brings back memories of unity and belonging to something.
Sorry if that was too long. I don't expect you to understand at all, but just saying we are not all idiotic, immature, weirdos. Some of us, yes, but not all!
