meconium is dangerous, my youngest had issues from it. If it had to do with weed it would be baby being removed from parents and has nothing to do with nicu.

The one study in jamacia seemed to show the women who smoked MJ regularly hads better pregnancies and afterwards and their babies scored higher in tests yers later..


You cant find anything were its JUST MJ being used.. All the information we get from US websites are of women smokigng cigs and MJ and drinking and doing other drugs.. Thats why its so hard to say what MJ effects... With my experience and friends who smoked i havent seen anything wrong with their babies and they are all very smart

Meconium aspiration can cause pneumonia so she could certainly be in NICU for that long.

Also, you're missing a lot of details - is baby breathing OK on her own? Regulating her temperture? Eating without assistance?

Your family needs to chill and quit jumping to conclusions.

the baby is fine and eating by itself, he is just being monitored as far as i know. i honestly didnt think it could be from smoking weed considering he was a healthy weight and not pre mature. i think they are over reacting mainly beacuse she gave them a few different reasons why he was in there and because he seemed fine, plus like i said earlier they dont like drugs so thats probably why they are assuming its that. i have know idea im just glad hes ok

And I agree with you. People need explanations for things. Nothing can ever just happen for the sake of happening - people need reasoning, even if it's completely unfounded and ridiculous, KWIM?

oh gosh. thats a waste of everyones time to "monitor" him.. if it was ciggs ( which is way freaking worse than MJ) and has an acutal addictive agent in it, they would just let her go. so stupid. uggh i dont understand why she admitted to doing it? guilt maybe? idk well at least baby is healthy for the most part.
