Men VS Women. Future plans.

I've seen this a lot in my friends' relationships, my own. The dying question I have today is why is it okay for men to talk futuristically about a relationship, 'making plans' but when a woman does it's 'creepy' and/or 'weird'. I've never understood this. D&D

I think this is one of those stereotypes. The "idea" is that women want to settle down, so when men talk about that women see it as a good thing. When women do it and men DON'T want to settle down, then it's clingy. Personally, I think it's all in the individual relationship.

I guess I'm lucky my husband and I both discuss future plans. We discussed wanting kids and marriage when dating too.
I think it only gets "creepy" if one person is obsessive about marriage/kids to the point of arguing about it because their SO isn't ready. I've seen both male and female be called "weird" and other choice names because of that.
