6mo diet

I know this is dumb but what do some of you mean when you say solids at 6months?

My LO is now 6 months and he eats boobies and those gerber first foods. What else can i give him?

I meant baby food. At about 8 months she started getting organic baby puffs from the baby food section at the grocery store too. Our friend was giving them to her 5 month old and offered dd some. She loves them!

By solid food I meant food we pureed ourselves. We made our own baby food. I am now thinking of waiting longer with our second and giving her cut up soft table food.

Solids mean any food, pureed or not, I think. You can bump him up to 2nd foods if you think he's outgrowing first foods. Or try BLW.

dd is 6 mo and i give her homemade and store bought purees. anything 1 stage. but some people start 2nd earlier if their ready. bananas and apples have really been binding her up lately tho, so we slowed down on it. she was eating like 4 oz of solids a day but iv cut down to 1-2 so she can poop

Water isn't recommended yet. You can mash up Banana and give to him, you don't have to do jar food. One is suppose to wait to introduce new food for three days. For example you would give mashed Banana for three days, then avocado for three days. Basically to rule out any allergies.

Yeah it never updates me anymore. I just periodically go check my pm's haha.

LO is now 5 and a half months and has been on solids since 3 months. At first we let him just sook on a rusk, then one bowl of puree or cereal a day (usually breakfast), then he got breakfast and lunch ..now he gets 3 meals a day. He likes bananas and mushy peas!   8oz bottles weren't enough for him and he started waking up through the night maybe once or twice. So on top of his 3 meals, he gets six 5/6oz bottles, occasionally maybe an ounce of water or baby apple juice   Our health visitor said not to start solids until 6mo but Jack was getting hungrier and hungrier.. What can I say? My boys got a good appetite
