What is this? *Pics*

LO has a rash on her stomach and one cheek. She's had diarrhea for 10 hours.. 6 times this morning and just in the last hour she's had 4 dirty diapers with a medium amount of diarrhea then mucus. These rashes just showed up 10 minutes ago.

She is typically healthy. She does have asthma and she has a hernia that she is having repaired the 25th.... the hernia is right next to the rash, but it appears to be fine.

Keep an eye out if it moves (the rash) more over the body i would be cencernd about strep, but it looks like she's warm and something was tight on her skin. Good luck

Does that look like fifths disease? Her cheeks have that "slapped" look that's characteristic of it to me. I'd watch and see if it spreads.

Does she have a fever? Sometimes fever can make a child rashy.

Can the hernia cause Infection?

She's pooping out more than she's drinking so I assumed that was why.

Her cheeks have been red for weeks now... they told me fifths disease two months ago then took it back and told me they didn't know.

She's warm but no fever right now.

I don't know much about hernias..

She's in my arms sleeping with only a diaper on.

Have u given her skme Gatorade or pedialyte to help her not get dehydrated? That's a must if shes pooping so much.

She had a couple ounces of pedialyte. She is drinking less and less as the day goes on. She just fell asleep finally. Her butt is sore to the point of not being able to sit down. It's really red and has two raised bumps on it.. I feel so bad   and the doctor just said they were booked and there's no way to get her in until Tuesday..

Roseola (sp?) measles? My daughter had the same symptoms when she was 18 months and that's what it was

A few months ago my son got a rash (which spread all over his body in about a day), he had diarrhea too. We took him to the doc and it was a viral infection, probably 5ths disease, nothing serious and there was nothing they could do about it either, just had to wait it out.

Get a good barrier of something petroleum based on her bottom to keep the poop from touching it. Like a ton of Vaseline a&d ointment or diaper rash cream.

Been using A&D, but we ran out so I'm been using Destinin (spelling?). Her dad works in the Pharmacy and is going to bring home some Vaseline ointment, but he doesn't get home from work until 7:30. I'm just worried about her getting dehydrated... it's so hard to tell now that she doesn't have a soft spot to check.

Also you could put powder on top of the Vaseline or cream. I did that with my son and it helped a lot!!!
