hitting himself?

My 8 1/2 month old has been hitting himself in the mouth alot lately. Hard enough to wear you can hear it at times. Hes not hurting himself but it really bothers me. Is it normal?

My son thought it was hilarious to stand against the door and bang his head on it. His doctor said it was normal so I would assume that your baby is normal too.

I'm going to bring it up when we go but I'm all sorts of paranoid that it could be a sensory thing. Ahhh I don't know but it drives me nuts.

My son is the same way he also head butts things, pedi said that's what they call head banger babies and just keep an eye on them, they will grow out of it when you say no no enough lol

My little girl is 9 months and she started slapping herself in the face and side of the head here a few weeks ago. She hits herself hard enough you can hear it and she will get red where she does it but we take her hands away from her head and face and tell her no no we don't hit ourself but she just laughs and does it again lol

Lol well I'm glad he's not the only one. I don't think he quite knows what 'no' means yet though.
