Ring slings and Moby wraps are amazing for nursing

I found it a little difficult in a ring sling, but much easier in a moby wrap. I also enjoyed using some of those nursing shirts that had an opening right below the breast, as they were a lot easier access when wearing a sling. I'm not body shy, but it was nice not having to show my whole stomach in order to nurse, and in the winter it was even nicer to not have a cold tummy when nursing.

I prefer to nurse in my ring sling, its super super easy. I have nursed in the moby... but its not as discrete and is kind of awkward

I apologize, i shouldn't have put anything about the nursing cover (I deleted it) it really had nothing to do with my post since I meant more like how can I nurse when we are out and about while having a free hand if need be to catch my (soon to be) 3 year old.
I have never seen the nursing tanks that open on the bottom though, that would be nice! Where did you get them??

So it's really a toss up between the two, Moby & Ring sling .. Have any of you made your own or would you recommend buying the real deal?
I wore my son with the Infantino sling & wrap or Bjourn, but hated all three and was never ale to nurse in any of them

I had a ring sling I bought and one I made, my Moby was puchased but I know there are a lot of people out there who make them and there is an abundance of patterns available. Honestly, I didn't notice much difference between the one I bought and the one I made.

My mom just got me two nursing tops-one shirt, one dress from a company that specializes in nursing wear. http://www.milknursingwear.com/ I actually wear them now because they are super stretchy and comfortable but I look forward to using them in a few weeks for the intended purpose! I have a Moby wrap that I'm dying to try out with the new baby. My last daughter I nursed her in public all the time (she was a "snacker" and was happiest with a booby in her mouth!). I used a nursing cover (I forget the name but they're everywhere-Target, babies 'r' Us, Wal-Mart, etc.) and most of them are the same - a band that you slip over your head, and generous material to cover your whole abdomen and chest, with a rigid top edge to stay partially open from your chest so you can peek down at your LO to maintain eye contact and ensure they are latched on correctly. My biggest beef was with nursing bras...they mostly latch at the strap and then fold down and I usually had to tuck the whole flap undermeath the underwire to allow my daughter to get skin-to-skin contact while nursing.

Okay, I am having my MIL make me a ring sling and a Moby.. Those were the two I was originally thinking about anyways, but wanted to be sure they are good for nursing.
