Quoting Jessica Styles:" what is the shortest, and or the longest time that women have been in labor? I was only in labor for 4 hours, & took 4 pushes & my little girl was out in no time!"

my first labour was about 4 hours from first contraction to her being born...my second was even shorter at about 2 hours. I went from 4cm to pushing in 20 mins, and pushed about 4 times and she was out. Im kinda worried about this time LOL i better stay close to a hospital

Shortest time: 40min in active labor after being in preterm labor for 21 weeks. Didnt even have to push and he was over 6lbs and 5 weeks early!

Longest labor: 21 hours of back labor.. Never again ugh!

Quoting Jessica Styles:" lol just my 4 hours I couldnt hadle longer, its also amazing how you handled that & now you have ... [snip!] ... & now you have a 2nd 1 almost here! your not nervous at all of this 1? I hear that 2nd babys are usually the easier 1s."

Not nervous about labor, because I dont see the point in it lol. I just dont think about it really. It is coming for me weather I worry about it or not you know? I figure I will just deal with whatever happens when it happens lol. I'm more anxious because I dont have everything ready for her yet. I'm a bit anal about it honestly lol. I want everything to be ready and perfect for her before I am 36 weeks   DH thinks I am crazy.

Quoting Soon 2B Mom of 2:" Man, you all make me hate you a little LOL. I better have an easy labor this time damn it!!  "

My first labor wasn't "easy" but it was longer than my second. I labored (from start to finish) for almost 8 hours with my first. Second labors are usually quicker.

First was 3 days from start to finish, with 3 hours of pushing.
Second was 12 hours from start to finish, with 30 mins of pushing.
And third was 4 hours from start to finish with literally like 3 mins of pushing.

DS was 16hrs from the time my water broke till I had him, pushed for over 5hr with HORRIBLE back labor. . DD was 1hr 10min from time water broke, (didnt feel a single contraction till then and then had horrible back labor) till I had her, pushed maybe 3 times. I hope if I have another some day its quick and easy like hers.
