re: What was your first postpartum meal?

i had to wait an additional like 8 hours to eat. stupid smurfing hospital screwed up my food.

everyone offered to go get me something, but i couldn't decide what and didn't want anyone to go out of their way at that point. i said i would just get something from the cafeteria because it would be easier.

well... 6 hours later... i still had no effing food. had to call them like three times. smurfs.

 

I had my parents bring me fish & chips and pancake puppies from Denny's. I was starving after 16 hours of only ice and popsicles.

We went through maccas drive through on the way home, coz I hate hospital food. I ordered a large cheese burger meal, 6 pack of nuggets and a Oreo mcflurry. It sounded SO good at the time, but when I got it, I had one bite of my burger and a couple of chips and couldn't eat the rest. I didn't end up eating anything for a week and a half later.

I had a c section and wasn't allowed to eat while I was in labor and delivery so I went a day without eating before I had to have my emergency c section so by the time I had her and could eat nothing sounded good I drank tons of grape juice and that's all I wanted, I think I ate breakfast the next morning at the hospital though.

I had no appetite after labor in the hospital. I was there 3 days and nibbled Turkey sandwiches.
