No we weren't together then.

In days gone past men never were present at the delioury so it's not completely weird.

But I would want him there but there would have a few rule, like no going further down than the waist, don't look at my vagina at any point nor anything the midwife is doing down there...and we will be cool, childbirth to some maybe beautiful but I would rather him hold my hand and comfort me than be part of what was going on downstairs.

I felt the same way my whole pregnancy, but when the time came, I couldnt care less lol. I just wanted DS out of me.

I know from previous painful experience (aka being hit by a car and dislocating my left hip, right knee, shoulder and fingers but some how not breaking a single bone) I'm very quiet but incontrol whilst in pain. My partner only once moved down the bottom of the room to get a glass of water and I very politely informed him in my hushed and slightly psychotic tone that if he took another step I would make sure he would never see the light of day again. Apparently I scared the smurf out of him and the nice nurse gave him the jug of water up to save him being murdered lol

Woman in labor should not be messed with!

I have a grudge against my so for leaving the room as i delivered. He never hinted he wouldnt stay in the room but had said he did not want to cut the cord. I am at least prepared to do it alone this time.
