My Mom/grandparents bought me this really expensive crib ( the kind that turns into a toddler bed/full size bed)....

Well I never used it and still cosleep...We already have my old bunk beds for when he gets older...and I kinda want him to pick out his own toddler bed...like maybe a race car one so he will get excited about his own bed kwim?

Honestly when I first got the crib I was upset cuz I really wanted to go look at cribs with SO...and everyone bought us everyting withiut asking what'd we wanted...so we really didnt get to pick out anything.

Part of me really wants go sell it cuz I will cosleep with the next baby. too...but the other part of me feels really bad that we didnt even use it

I'd return it. Plus you don't even need a toddler bed. They're a waste of money imo. Just buy him a bedding set with characters that he likes. I didn't even do anything special for my son we went right from cosleeping to a twin bed in his own room just before he turned 2. For Christmas (like 8 months later) I got him and Avengers bed set and he absolutely loves it.

ETA the bed set is a pillowcase, sheets and comforter. Up until that point he just had grey sheets and pillowcase and one of my old comforters lol it was pink and lime green with flowers. He didn't care.

The only reason we have a toddler bed is because a twin and a crib won't fit in their room together.

My kids both have their own special bed sets. Ugh!! Cylus has cars and Audrianna has princesses. I still really want to get them another set of something different though because it sucks when they puke or have an accident and then scream and cry because their sheets are in the wash! lol

I got him a Spiderman set too as a spare but he isn't interested in it lol it's still unopened.
Walmart has really cheap bedding sets you should look into that. I think they were like $20 each black Friday prices though.

yea I plan on buying it with my tax money and I was looking at walmart but ours doesn't have jack smurf.   Hopefully if I head over to the city they will have more of a selection.

That is what I would do or go ahead and put the crib mattress on the floor.
