Not when teaching them! When they are first learning that is so unfair. On the other hand, if they have been potty trained for some time and do it, I would spank, because sometimes when we're at the park or my daughter is playing with other kids she wont say she has to go because she doesn't want to stop playing long enough to go. Then she's in trouble.
