calories are very hard for me to get enough of when i dont eat as many carbs and no animal product. on days i have cheese, its too easy.

im scared of nuts, i only like one kind of hummus, and it gets old.. errrrmm.. im scared of a lot of small roundish foods, like a literal fear.

so im kinda stuck. it is what it is i suppose.

Like...grapes? For small roundish? Is it a choking fear?!

I get calories from bread products   which are obviously chock full of carbs, too lol
Or oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, etc.

I eat a good amount of beans and tofu as well, usually at least one meal a day has one or both of those things in it. And just so I'm clear on the good meats thing - fish and poultry yes, cow and pig no?

Anything! A basic recipe is (You can skip the tahini but I like it. Its sesame seed paste. Its high protein.)
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 medium garlic clove, peeled and smashed
  • Juice of 1 medium lemon
  • 1/4 cup roasted tahini
  • 1/4 cup water, plus more as needed
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, plus more to serve
  • Salt

I like spicy hummus so I like to add chipotle chillies or anything that will give it a kick.

Do any of you have an aldi nearby? They've introduced an organic line (certified organic, too) and it's pretty darn cheap. We were able to buy a lot of organic stuff, and our bill was still under 100 bucks for the week. (75 exactly.)

For lunch today we're having steamed corn, organic mac n cheese, and a few pieces of raw broccoli...with a cup of almond milk.

I can, but the sugar content brings me waaaay over my goal. i replace two meals with a fruit smoothie and a veg/fruit smoothie.. then veggies for snack, and pita and hummus for snack...

things like flax, most beans, rice, and quinoa (sp), i cant handle.

Ok good
and yes, I would skip pig all together. If you want to eat beef, limit it and if its ground beef, make sure its lean.
