SO talking in his sleep

posted 17th Jan
First it was just odd & in things he was saying to me kinda like he was half awake but then about 30 minutes ago he said the name Jessica. Not in any specific way or anything. Just plainly & clearly said Jessica. It kinda bothers me   I don't wanna make a huge deal out of it. What should I do?

Well it wouldn't bother me since he was dreaming. Jessica could have been anyone in his dream and he probably won't remember. I would make a joke about it to him but since it is bothering you I wouldn't.
Trying to make a joke about something when it actually bothers you just ends badly.

I guess if it is bothering you enough you should tell him. But I would be prepared for him to think you are being silly.

I'm positive he'll think I am being silly lol I am probably thinking too much into it because I'm sleep deprived. Lately I can't seem to sleep at night well at all if at all. I seem to be sleeping more during the day

My dh has said his ex wifes name a few times (he talks in his sleep alot). when I ask him about it he usually does not remember or he will tell me about his dream if he does (which at times I wish he wouldn't), but what ever its just a dream.

It is just a dream. Not sure how i'd react if he was saying an exs name(which he could be but I don't know her)Its not like he goes anywhere he could cheat. SO works 8 minutes away, works 40 hours a week, comes home for lunch & doesn't go anywhere without me because HE prefers not to lol

The first time he did it I was upset, I know how much he and his ex hate each other so I dont stress over it as he is probably freaming that he is fighting with her lol, but I am also not stupid and know that once upon a time they loved each other enough to get married so he might be dreaming about "the good old days" lol.. I just chose not to read into the negative side of it although I wont lie I do get a little curious and ask him a million questions about his dream. I know if I was to say my exes name my dh would be pissed beyond return he is a very jelouse man lol.
I dont think you have anything to worry about.

Last time my husband talked in his sleep he clearly said the name lisa, I woke him up and asked about it and he told me he was dreaming about lisa simpson off the simpsons lol he used to work with my mom and she told me they worked with a lisa, he then "remembered" his dream and said because they like to give each other smurf at work since they work in a call center and sometimes smurf up on calls, he was giving her smurf in his dream. I didn't let it bother me because he works with %90 of women and they all know who i am and to this day so far he hasn't said another females name.

My SO can have a full blown conversation with anybody while sleeping. I used to smurf with him. He once got really mad at me in his sleep because he was telling me he had to print something and move some trucks. I was like "we don't have a printer and nowhere to park several trucks" He was furious with me and I was laughing.

I don't know what it's like waking your S.Other but I wouldn't ever wake my hubby during a dream. But then again when he has dreams, they mainly pertain to his time over sea's. If he does say something in his sleep it's never a name or in English...so if he ever said a female name I think I would have to ask him about it the next day. But I don't think I would worry or be mad about it cause we wasn't born/raised together so that means there's alot about his life that I may not know about. Even if I feel like I do, there's always a chance there's something he hasn't gotten around to telling me. So to answer your question, I don't think I would be upset, I would wait until in the morning and if he remember's then that's great and if not then that's ok too. It's just a dream right? Can't help what you dream about.   But good luck hon

I wouldn't think to much of it. Maybe someone he ran into from the day and it just held over from his day. My SO talks in his sleep too, but he does in Spanish so I have no idea what the hell he's saying, lol.
