I dont want this on my personal profile. On tuesday my daughter viat text told me that shes pregnant. She barely turned 16 in December. I think im still in shock and honestly dont know what to think. The dad is not in the picture and lives out of state. His mom refuses to let my daughter have contact info so she can tell him. DD wants to have an abortion and im supporting her but im not sure what to expect afterwards. I guess im just disappointed in her choice to have unprotected sex

My advice is just support her as much as you can. As disappointed as you may be nothing can change it. Plus she is going to go through something that I couldn't imagine going through.

Just let her know your there for her and then once all is said and done then maybe talk to her about BC if she is choosing to be sexually active then at least offer to get her protected so neither of you have to go through this again.

Have you had an actual face to face conversation with her about everything?
Are you sure she's not just saying she wants an abortion so you won't be mad at her for wanting to keep it?
And do you know how far along she is?
Teenagers have sex and most don't think about the consequences. Of course you're going to be disappointed but it happens. And it happens a lot.

Just support her with whatever choice she makes. When this is all said & done go buy her condoms & put her on birth control

If she wants an abortion then I wouldn't tell the father. He may talk her out of it. If she is 100% in her decision to have an abortion there's really no need to tell the father.

Her BF moved in october and came back for a few days at christmas which is when they had sex so Shes around 3 weeks. I havent had a face to face because i have younger kids in the house who hear everything. Yes i do believe that she doesn't want a baby right now. She plans to finish up school and go to college. I think if her BF was here he would try to change her mind. . Im worried about her emotional state afterwards, ive never had an abortion so i dont know what to expect

I found out iwas pregnant with my first around three weeks.

She would be about 3 weeks pregnant. She only had sex once a few days after christmas

I thought conception didn't occur until one or 2 weeks after, meaning if she is pregnant she would be around a week and a half.

I had an abortion when I was 15.
I was forced into it though from my boyfriends mum and my mum. They never let me go to the doctor to find out how far along I was or anything.
My mum called me horrible names, told me I was a slut, and told me I was the biggest dissapointment. It has caused irrepairable damage to me.
I was also kept in the dark about the options I could take, like adoption for example.
In the end I went through with it, at 9 weeks and 3 days my little baby was taken from me, and I ended up extremely psychologically scarred, also developed Post Natal Depression.

The advice I can give you is talk to her about it.
Let her know all of her options and support her with whatever she chooses to do.
If she does decide she wants an abortion, then look into some councilling for her afterwards.
Its going to be hard no matter what.
Also put her on birth control afterwards.

Wouldn't a week 1/2 be to early tto test positive though

She's set on an abortion. We live in a really small town and she doesn't want anyone finding out, she won't even go to her normal dr here. She was planning on secretly doing it until her bfs mom found out & cut them off from talking. He was planning on paying for it, plus she has to have my permission. I will see about counceling for her afterwards
