Smurf buddies.

I'm asking this as a question for somebody, what is your definition of a smurf buddy? Said person has been in a "relationship" for over a year with a man. He says he likes her but that they are not together and they are only "having fun". He has given her a key to his house. She is at his house 6 days out of the week (sometimes she will stay for a whole month at a time). He is a single father and his daughter loves this woman and she takes her to the park, appointments, school etc. She is going overseas for SIX weeks and he has booked himself and his daughter on the same flight to go over there with her and come back on the same flight too. He talks about them buying a house together but STILL says there is no relationship? She is at a loss as to what to do and is trying to understand what exactly is going on between them and talking to him isn't helping. This is more than smurf buddies though, yes?

Yes. My advice? As long as he is not sleeping with other women and such tell her to just enjoy it and see how it goes.

Yes. It sounds like it. Is he wary of titles? Weird. Very weird.

Yeah more than smurf buddies.
Smurf buddies are friends who hook up sometimes or like people who know each other and just smurf, that's it, not even friends.

Smurf buddies is no where near that lol.
You don't have to be close with a smurf buddy or ever talk to them, except when you want it...

Definetly sounds like more than just friends aka smurf buddies to me.Sounds to me like he has major commitment problems.

I had an ex like this. We were exclusive we dated for years. He was scared of labels. We were in a relationship for sure though. Even he could admit to that. He just couldn't call me his girlfriend.

Uh. Yeah that's definitely beyond the point of smurf buddies haha.. He should just man up and give that woman a title smh.. It's pretty sad that he's downplaying their relationship when obviously it's way more than what it is.

His previous two relationships were really bad, he was engaged to a woman and had a house with her and one day he went home and she just told him it was over and took him for everything he had. Then there was the Mum of his child who who on drugs and had the baby taken off her at birth but he didn't get her until she was six months old. I personally think he is holding out incase he finds someone "better" but everyone tells him he is in a relationship and he is in denial, lol.

If only my old smurf buddies would buy me a house

Yeah those aren't smurf buddies lol. He's probably just scared of titles, he obviously cares for her. She should talk to him if it bothers her.

Yeap, he is in denial.
