Baby Bump

posted 17th Jan
Need everyones opinion, how big do i look in this pictures?
My baby has a birth defect and is measuring small, which makes me a bit sensitive to the subject about my belly. I am so sick of everyone telling me its small..... even though its not my fault my baby is measuring smaller, the comments some people make are making me feel like it is.

30-32 weeks? I have a hard time telling because I was smaller than that at 33 weeks with my first and not much bigger at 40 weeks.

your due in march. I think your doing pretty good. women get different sizes of baby bumps..I have only gained 2lbs so far and they said my stomach is measuring 2 weeks ahead but on my last ultrasound it showed that she was measuring perfect..so it just veries. Keep in mind you know the facts and everyone else doesn't, and if you want to say something to someone about what they say about your belly then say something. Its your body not theres. ;) just a few more months.

Bump size has nothing to do with the size of the baby. Don't let it get you down. You look great mama.

Don't worry. People had a hard time figuring out I I was pregnant or not till about 8 months. I looked a little like I might be pregnant by 30 weeks. The comments are annoying and I hated them! My sister and I were due 4 days apart. If we were together and someone knew us but didn't know we were pregnant prior to running into us they'd ask when I was going to get on making babies.

thanks everyone, i really appriciate your comments! some people can be so blunt. i dont think i would ever tell another pregnant women their bump is small! A big belly is one of the best things about being pregnant; in my opinion. I am 32 weeks today, and he is only 3lbs 2oz. Im being induced in 5 weeks, so i really need him to gain weight!

I was constantly told my bump was small with my first and it made me ANGRY so I know how you feel. People would ask if I was 5 or 6 months the week I was due and I wanted to choke them. Even DH would point out other pregnant women out and say "at least your belly isn't THAT big!" like having a smaller belly was any less uncomfortable. He was still almost 7 pounds and all up under my ribs, dammit lol. Everyone treating me like my belly was small upset me for a lot of reasons. Just try to ignore it, everything will be fine

well dont forget that just because they say a certain weight doesnt mean thats what hell be.. they told me DS was only going to be 3 pounds at birth (we had complications) and he was actually 5 pounds.

i think the general rule of thumb is 2 pounds either way. or something like that. dont quote me on this but dont let the estimated weight bring you down either

Because my baby is gonna be early my nurses suggested I eat more fats. Obviously I don't wanna be a cow but it's only the last 2 weeks of my preg. They said it really helps preemies gain a little extra fat that they need. I know yours won't be premature but could possibly be like a preemie if he's not growing fast enough.
