DD had a week of doing this. I really don't know what it was so I just scheduled an appointment and they found out she had an ear infection. I don't know if that is what it was mainly but it did help her sleep better after she started taking the medicine

Quoting Ole' No Name:" oh My God.. im really losing the last shread of sanity I have left. My DD is 13 months old and has suddenly ... [snip!] ... I am so smurfing tired I just want to cry. Why is she doing this?! I can't keep going with like 3 hours of sleep a night."

I have no idea why they do that. Mine do. My three year old has been doing it for about two years now, just like you described. You get used to feeling half dead all the time, I think. Maybe I've just gone crazy. Probably both.

My 17 month old has been doing this on and off since he turned 1 (he used to be such a good sleeper). I've noticed it's usually when a new tooth pops up he'll do it for a week or two then go back to sleeping properly again.

Maybe LO is getting sick? Like an ear infection or something? My son did that for about two weeks and was complaining with his throat hurting. Hope you figure something out soon!!

I would call you child's doctor about it. I work in a pharmacy and a lot of family doctors have been recommending melatonin liquid for infants and toddlers who do not sleep all that well. It has generally gotten good results for some of my customers. But call the doctor and see what they recommend and if that is something they suggest make sure you get a dosage and then you can but it at a GNC or vitamin world type shop. I hope my son doesn't start that because I have chronic fatigue syndrome and that little sleep would probably kill me. Hope it gets better
