did you watch the show? the big dog wasn't in the picture until she went around to the back of the house. she was just chasing frankie around to begin with.

Quoting October2011:" she said on the phone with her dad that the husky was still next to her dog. She'd be a dumbass to put her daughter down to risk that."

she didn't even know the husky was outside until she went to the back of her house. for the first 3 or so minutes they were showing it, she's giggling chasing frankie around. she went to put the pug in her car (and shoes on, i noticed that when frankie was out of sight shoes magically appeared on her feet) and that was when she walked to the back of the house and saw her frenchie getting mauled.

well if you are gonna sit there and think of things she could have done to prevent it..she also should have put it on a leash and she knows that. She cant build a time machine, mistakes and accidents happen.im sure she wasnt planning on her dog getting mauled to death.

putting a leash on her dog would have been the first step. since she failed to do that, like an idiot, she could have just picked the dog up instead of running around giggling like it was a joke.

Yeah I thjnk playful big dogs don't know their strength. My golden retriever thought he was a cat haha. I also had another dog as a child that killed like 3-4 of my hamsters because he was so playful. They escaped and not one ever had a bite mark or anything. They just looked "licked" to death haha. I don't think he meant it at all.

I would probably have tried to separate it, however, I would tell anyone NOT to do that. I've gotten bit really badly separating dog fights. We had a neighbor who was killed separating a dog fight. I may love my pets, but they are not my children. It's sad, but that is exactly why you should have control of your animals at all times. Things like this can happen and it's very sad =(

Ive broken up a fight with two Dogue de Bordeaux fighting in my backyard by hosing them down. But that being said, dont do that unless you are safe enough away where they cant get you.

Dogue de Bordeaux are these by the way.

Wow, that is sad.
You're right; dogs don't care about anything when they're fighting....Their instinct takes over.

They're such a beautiful breed.

I have a Dogo Argentino and she's deaf.
People mistaken her for a Pit all the time because the breeds are so similar.

Yep. At the end of they day, they are animals. I mean, they have instincts and are very much guided by those instincts. Heck, PEOPLE sometimes do that (hit the person trying to break up a fight) so it isn't surprising that dogs would do it. So, even though I'd probably jump in (I have before, instinct on my part) I wouldn't fault anyone for NOT doing it, since my advice would also be not to.

That's right!
You gotta use your best judgement in those kind of situations and even then, your judgement might be off because, honestly, dogs fighting WILL tear your nerves up!
