chemical pregnancy?

so. i just took a pregnancy test yesterday & it showed positive.
a little shocked, to say the least.
well, tonight, i started cramping up really bad & started bleeding.
of course i started googling and came across something called a chemical pregnancy, where you get a positive test, but start your normal period not long after.

anyone else ever had this happen? or something similar?
i'm soooo confused! thanks in advance!

it happened to me and it happens a lot actually. Had you never taken that test, you would have never known. I'm sorry hun

Happened to me 3 times..

I've had multiple chems. Most women wouldn't normally know they were pregnant, but tests can pick up such a low number of HCG that they get a positive before the loss.

Happened to me but took weeks for me to start. There was nothing in the u/s tho and my levels were low and dropping.

i have. my period actually came a week or two later so actually was a miscarriage but i had gone for an ultrasound which showed absolutely nothing in there so...
